Sang was born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in South Carolina. He has been working in the restaurant industry from a young age, starting in his aunt’s restaurants before honing his skills in award-winning kitchens, including James Beard and Michelin-recognized establishments. His passion for cooking is deeply influenced by his upbringing, blending Korean roots with low country traditions. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his wife, exploring new restaurants, and watching movies.
